The ramblings of one seeking to flee “Mystery Babylon”

Testimony – Coming out of Babylon

with 16 comments

When the Lord called His people out of Mystery Babylon in Revelation 18:4 , I’m pretty sure the reason He did this is because there are a bunch of His people in that system.

My prayer and hope is that this video may offer the listener a sense of encouragement, that you are not alone in hearing the call, and there is no better time than the present to act.

  1. Hi Tim
Bless you for this testimony.I beleive that God does have pockets of His people in Babylon too, that there are children whom He calls ‘Beloved’, who are like us and others seeking the Lord in each and every aspect of our lives. Learning to let go of this life as He shows us how. It is tough and it does take time as you said, and it has to be worked at, with His help and grace. I sometimes feel like I am living on another planet inside this one? Might sound a bit daft, but the more I walk with God, the more I feel I no longer belong here, that this is not my real home. I interact and reach out to people as the Lord leads, but the real connection is only with a true brother or sister. It is like a mini explosion. I understand it to be His life in both of us connecting in unity. I am not being dramatic or OTT, I have just noticed that this simple love flows between.

The life you talk of with regard to the sparrows is how I beleive Adam and Eve lived before the fall. I know we can do all things in Christ who strengthens us and as long as Jesus is first, second and third in ourlives and everything to do with it, I believe we can live like that to a greater degree than we can ever think possible.
Bless you and your family as you walk with Him as your Light.

  2. Thanks Jessie for the encouragement. Indeed, I agree entirely that this is what it was like in the day of Adam. Simple, trusting, without covetousness, greed or selfish ambition. How I long for that day in which God will restore all things. I can almost taste it.
Increasingly I am alarmed by the depth of our involvement in Babylon. God has many people in there and this blog is just one way in which I, along with many others are hopefully challenging people to think about this issue.

  3. Dear FTW, The image of sparrows enjoying fresh roadkill and the parallel to marketing faith stuff is very vivid. Thank you for a powerful and sincere pleading to come out. I found you through ETD and will be reading through your postings. You brothers are leading the way.
May the Lord continue to bless you with insight, courage, and a growing following and fellow-journeyers! Eyes up!

  5. The prophecy declares, “Come ye out of her my people lest ye be partakers of her plagues.” The gospel is the power of God unto salvation. God by the gospel ha brought us out of Babylon and continues to bring us each and every day by grace. By the simple preaching of the one true gospel (Luke 24, 1 Cor 15:1-6) we have been rejected of all. I say all, I speak not of the unbeliever only, but of those who call themselves Christians. We fellowship home to home, because we have been put out of the building made with men hands, and they say “we are doing are own thing.” No, God is doing His work and His work is the salvation of souls and He by His grace is saving our souls and all the children of grace in the crooked generation, a generation of judgment. The day of Christ is at hand!

  6. I believe we are to prepare spiritually but also leave this country if we can. Since the new leader of it has in three days thumbed his nose at God touching what is most important to him; abortion, homosexuality, Israel…with his actions, which by the way do not surprise me, he has insured the swift judgement of this nation. We have about a year and a half, I think.

I am interested in gathering believers from all over to make a pilgrimage to Canada, whom I believe will open her arms to us. She has not done what the USA has done, and will be spared. We can bring Christ to a “new land”.

  7. Hi Diana, Being an Aussie I don’t know very much about Canada but my overall perspective has been that it is much like Australia, US, UK which are all similarly aligned in many senses. I can appreciate that many right now seem to have a sense of fearful expectation of a coming judgement. My personal belief is that the “fleeing” or “coming out of” that God is concerned about at this time is the “spiritual adultery and idolatry” that so many in our “Christian” nations are bound up in. The people He calls “My people”
You mention that you think judgement will come in about a year and a half. Can I ask as to the timing, is there any specific reason for this period? 18 months…..or simply a gut feeling
    Thanks for the comment.
    Bless you,
    Tim.

  9. Tim, thank you so much for this testimony. I would also like to echo your statement that “fleeing” isn’t about geographical location, but spiritual alignment instead. And sadly, in the physical realm there is no escape from the deceit of riches, what you call Babylonian culture. It’s global. But praise to God that He is waking us up and drawing us into protection under His wings!

  10. I found your pages as I was searching for the words of a hymn that I have heard on the net. I totally understand your messaged and the Lord is also bringing me out of Babylon. As a wife I can only do this in a small way, until my husband comes along with me. I have started by giving away all of those things that make the eye glad, like possesions in the home. My home is now starting to look like someone has been in and robbed it. I am also seeking to come out of Babylon in my heart, and its much easier to come out physcially than spiritually I am finding. I have been recieving words about ’storing up food’ and this has troubled my spirit, I give God the glory for inspiring you to talk of the sparrows and this has reminded me of the care and providence of God, and now I am not in fear anymore, for I do not want to trust in ‘food stuffs’ I would prefer to trust in God.

I look forward to reading and watching more on your blog. Are you in a church? most people who I know who are even close to the understanding of the truth are not in church.

I have recently found a church in the US (online) I am in the UK, It can be found at last trumpet mininstires, if you google it, the brother there is all about coming out of babylon. There are audio files that you can download.

    Praise God.

  11. G’day Fugitive,
Thanks for the comments. I still attend an institutional church, though I admit to having my struggles. There are times I’ve felt like fleeing much of this stuff but I’m pretty sure the Lord still wants me there. Perhaps for me it’s different as I do hold a position of leadership, therefore I believe I can influence change, according to the Grace of God. There are many wonderful people in the churches, so often they, we, are so like sheep, we just follow, blindly. But I am thankful that in my congregation there are a few of us who are seeking a more real faith, not willing to bow the knee to religion, but to the living God. Not willing to yield to this lukewarm worldly Christianity, but determined to find that narrow way, which leads to life.
It is a battle to flee Mystery Babylon, to flee her materially and spiritually. She is adept at leading men into idolatry, in bowing to the worldly provision that comes so freely in Mystery Babylon.
I too have wondered about storing up things, such as food or finance. However if you believe God is leading you to store up food, then do this. If you don’t believe He is leading you to this, then don’t. Whether you store it, and later are able to benefit from it, you can still give God the glory, and serve Him with a thankful heart. God in times past has prepared a strorehouse for His people, for the time of famine.
    Blessings,
    Tim

  12. It depends on how God leads you. Many have felt called from their church. Personally I feel called to help wake up those who are sleeping spiritually. I’m not a leader, just a regular member. But in my small group and personal relationships God has brought me words to wake them up. That’s the best way I know how to say it. Sometimes those words change nothing. And other times I am just in total awe of how God changes hearts, and I feel humbled and speechless to be a part of it.

  13. Thanks Anna, that’s good. It depends on how the Lord leads and I believe that whatever position we are in concerning the congregation of Gods people, we can influence the kingdom for the Glory of God. Well I’m certainly silly enough to believe that anyway!

  14. The true Body are those who have been born again through His Spirit throughout the world. As long as the “church” is still comprised of these individuals, it is still His Body, in spite of itself. I still see God’s Spirit at work in many churches (not all) to save and restore the lost, in spite of ourselves. I dare not reject what God is still using. I can completely understand why many people cannot tolerate being connected to it in a formal way, but I cannot refer to it as Babylon as I used to. I think the balance of tares to wheat may be rather large, but I am not called to abandon it (personally, not speaking for what God has told anyone else) but to serve it and pray for it. I grieve deeply for the sins of the church, and its slumber when the Bridegroom is so close at hand. Jesus said, “When the Son of Man returns, will He find faith on the earth?” But He also said the gates of hell would not prevail against His church (i.e. true believers). There is a great danger in rejecting the church because of its faults. Many cults have been born through an incorrect response to very valid grievances. Just a word of caution. Been down that road and don’t care to return. I feel deeply impressed to cry out to God and pray for His Church, wherever she is found, that she would be found ready.

  16. Hi Glenn, Thanks for the comment, I’ll have a further look at your links when I get a chance. I had a look at your timetable but I have to admit that I have come to no absolute conclusion concerning dates and times, so I’m not really in a position to respond on that one. My desire on this blog is to attempt to, with Gods help, unveil the kingdom which is a mystery, Babylon the great, the mother of harlots…..in order that the people of God might recognise her and flee from her coming judgement. Personally I do like the theory which some suggest that the fall of Babylon, which is financial first, then physical second, pre-cedes the final years of tribulation by a very short time. In fact, as she was a ruling world power, the world is thrown into chaos as a result of her demise. That day is close so it will only be a few year now to find out if in fact this theory is correct or not.
    Bless you,
    Tim.

PS. I find this site ot be well researched concerning many things. He has some interesting toughts concerning the timing of events. here is the link : http://www.readandrun.co.uk/
