The two horned false prophet of Revelation

with one comment

In light of the events that are taking place in our day, and the obvious wealth of confusion surrounding the false prophet of Revelation 13, I thought I’d  share my take (and some others) on this scripture.

According to my reckoning, we are in the day of the false prophet, but I guess time will tell.  Considering the amount of interest in the upcoming Copenhagen conference, and the concern about a New World Order agenda, these words of the apostle John, as given him in a vision from Jesus Christ seem to fit our day in so many ways

Revelation 13 :11And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had (1) two horns like a lamb, and he (2) spake as a dragon. 12And he (3) exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and (4)causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13And he (5) doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, 14And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, (6) that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. 15(7) And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. 16(8) And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

If we single out the significant attributes of the false prophet of Revelation 13 we can see how this might fit our current situation. I submit to you that we have never had a day in which all of these things seemed to fit together so well with scripture.

  1. Two horns like a lamb  (two horns – two seats of power, two leaders, 2 nations )  (lamb -looks like Christian nations)
  2. Speaks like a dragon (The words of these 2 nations and leaders mouths are those of carnal man under the influence of a demonic agenda)
  3. Exercises all the power of the first beast (they exert tremendous world power and influence)
  4. Causes the earth and them that dwell within to follow the first beast – worship (these two leaders direct the nations of the world to follow after another world  system (the 1st beast – a group of the world nations))
  5. Does great wonders in the sight of men, even calling down fire from heaven. (These lamb like nations are able to rain down weapons of war, missiles, rockets etc as a manner of exerting influence and impressing the world of their great strength)
  6. That they should make an image to the beast (These 2 leaders and nations give a face to the beast world system – Like the UN and it’s associated entities)
  7. Has the power to give life to the 1st beast world system (They hold sufficient influence and political world power to bring life to the 1st beast group of world nations)
  8. Causeth all to take a mark on their right hand or forehead (they have the technological know how, the resources and influence to implement a system whereby one shall take a mark in order to be approved of the beast world system)

Given the present state of this world and it’s leaders it seems to me beyond doubt that the 2 horns of the false prophet represent the 2 nations of the UK and the USA. They are the lamb like nations who now act under a demonic agenda, speaking like a dragon, in order to bring to life this new World Order Beast. And I submit to you that it’s leaders Gordon Brown and Barack O’bama are false prophets now leading this world to follow after the beast. Life is now being granted to the beast that it might live.

And why wouldn’t many follow after this beast, after all who will save the world from Global warming and the associated devastation of food famines and sinking nations. Who will save the world from an economic catastrophe and from the greed of manipulative men and who will save the world from religious intolerance, and the threat of nuclear warfare. You guessed it, the Beast.

The Beast will be the hope of this world, given the tremendous peril at hand. The Beast will offer peace and security, the Beast will seek to usher in it’s heaven on earth agenda through the influence of Political power, which is well underway. Then through economic power, and finally religious power.

I imagine that most have seen the clip below by Lord Monckton. He is not really saying anything new, simply confirming those things which we know to be true.

Optimism Opium

with 2 comments

There is a drug that our western culture is distributing and using today which I believe to be very dangerous. It is pushed by the media, politicians and sadly, part of the church.   In the video below, Gerald Celente calls it “Optimism Opium”. I’m not sure what I would call it, but it evokes a response in the user which manifests as DENIAL.

In keeping with the nature of other opiates it is designed with a specific purpose, to reduce the pain, to have a sedative effect, even putting the user to sleep. This use of this drug and the accompanying manifestation of DENIAL, is to be found in the the occupants of Western Christendom and pertains to the present economic circumstances that she faces, but can also be found amongst the Lukewarm church, who presumes that she is rich, clothed in righteousness and discerning. The very things Christ told her that she is not.

Clearly, clearly we are at the precipice of something BIG in Christendom, the West. But we the church, for what reason I do not know, except perhaps for our drug addiction, are so often of the opinion that everything is just rosy. We seem to have partaken of this optimism opium, fallen asleep, are untroubled, at peace, even supposing peace and safety, that God will just rapture us out of here any day now. Troubling days,  for when they say peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes …and they shall not escape. 1 Thessalonians 5:3

Perhaps a good biblical example of the manifestation of using optimism opium is seen in the example of the Kingdom of the Harlot, Babylon the Great,  who indulges on the opiate of the masses and declares ” I sit as a queen, am no widow and will not see sorrow ” Rev 18:7.  Clearly the harlot had a big habit, for her DENIAL as to reality is quite profound. For the word says, in one hour her judgment came, in one hour the supposedly impenetrable kingdom will be brought to it’s knees. For in one hour she is made desolate Rev 18:19.

The word of God tells us that the occupants of this Harlot kingdom are in DENIAL. They are delusional, having partaken of the drug induced comatose opiate that is being fed to the masses by the media and it’s deluded politicians. And now they suppose themselves to be something they are not, secure, strong, untroubled, safe, protected, invulnerable, impregnable, they are altogether in DENIAL, BIG time.

When I started writing this post I just wanted to make a simple point, one which is made on the video below. Don’t be fooled Christian by the messages that are coming from our media and politicians. All is not as it seems, and though they would like you to see through their eyes of optimism, it is a foolish notion, based on failed reason and a lack of any Godly wisdom. Their optimistic words are designed to create a false sense of reality, of comfort, a stupor, even blindness to the truth of these most perilous days.

Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy [fn] to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Gerald Celente is not a Christian prophet, but a trend forecaster who uses current events to predict future trends. I find much of what he says to be at odds with what your politicians would prefer to tell you.

The word for the day

without comments

The word for the day is “Hyperinflation”. Now I know that you were expecting a biblical word weren’t you. Well it is, and it isn’t, I’ll explain.

As Christians we are often less familiar with some of the economic terms thrown around these days.  Sadly there is a good possibility that we’ll get to  experience exactly what this word means in the near future, so I thought it might be good to write about it.

When a nation undertakes the printing of paper money on a massive scale and introduces newly printed money into the existing money supply, it effectively reduces the value of the existing money which is circulating in the economy. That means that your dollar is no longer worth a dollar, or put it another way, your dollar no longer holds the purchasing power it previously held. The result is that prices seem to be going up,  in reality the prices are not going up, the value of your dollar is going down.

This is called inflation, every economy suffers from it. Now when governments introduce massive amounts of new paper dollars into the economy, then they risk causing inflation which is out of control, this is called hyperinflation. Prices climb rapidly due to the devaluing of the currency.

Before we move on lets read a quote from someone who experienced hyperinflation:

“It was horrible. Horrible! Like lightning it struck. No one was prepared. The shelves in the grocery stores were empty. You could buy nothing with your paper money.” – Harvard University law professor Friedrich Kessler on the Weimar Republic hyperinflation (1993 interview)

When the Black horse of Revelation is unleashed upon the earth, one of the results is Hyperinflation. A good biblical example of hyperinflation is found in Revelation 6:6. In this day a man will have to labor all day, in order to purchase a loaf of bread.  This is basically what the scripture in Revelation is saying ;

Rev 6:6  And a voice from among the four living beings said, “A loaf of wheat bread or three loaves of barley for a day’s pay.[fn1] And don’t waste[fn2] the olive oil and wine.”

In the midst of the present economic crisis one of the things that many western nations have done in order free up the credit markets is to print more money. If we are wise and use this money for infra structure initiatives then that will bode well, but if we simply throw it into the black hole of propping up banks and institutions that are “too big to fail” then we risk a climate of hyperinflation. Sadly it seems to me that it’s the big black hole that we are more concerned about fixing, and this type of action will invariably lead to out of control inflation, Hyperinflation.

When hyperinflation runs rampant it is terribly destructive to the culture and may well lead to civil unrest, as those who have little income can scarcely afford to buy a loaf of bread and will resort to whatever means at hand to survive.

Now sometimes I’m a little reluctant to suggest how we should consider surviving such a crisis. One part of me says that we should not put our trust in wealth, nor hoard wealth, but another part of me that knows full well that God has in times past, forewarned His people of a coming famine, and as a result of being forewarned, they were able to take appropriate action and care for and provide for each other.

These things should be brought before the Lord in prayer.

Tell him he’s dreamin (economic titanic)

with 2 comments

As you can see I wasn’t quite sure what to call this post so I’ve kinda given it two names, as above.

There’s a classic Australian movie that’s been around for a few years called “the castle“. It’s a very funny story about an Ozzie family that are about to be evicted from their home, as developers attempt to buy up the property for an extension to the airport next door.

It’s full of Aussie humour, and there’s a classic line that is revisited throughout the movie, “tell him he’s dreamin”. One of the kids in the family, Steve, is an avid reader of newspaper classified ads. Steve comes to dad regularly with the prospect of purchasing a bargain at such an such a price, he reads his dad the ad, and dad’s reply is always “tell him he’s dreamin”

To put it another way, they’re kidding themselves, it just aint worth that sort of money.

As I read an article today in our Australian media, in which the reserve bank governor is suggesting the strong possibility of an economic recovery in the not too distant future, I would just like to say this  “tell him he’s dreamin” (RBA Chief Glenn Stephens upbeat on recovery)

It’s not going to happen, Glenn Stephens’ is kidding himself. The US economy is going down and she’ll be taking a whole bunch of other nations down with her, Australia included.

In the very short term there may seem to be a recovery in the stock market, but in my opinion, for what it’s worth, as soon as the markets recover sufficiently, many of the big investors are going to pull out in an attempt to recover some of the losses that they have born over these last few months.

I guess we can talk this thing up and hope for the best, I understand that Glenn is just doing his job, but if you are willing to look at the US economic fundamentals such as foreign debt, money supply, productive capacity, you will see that the world has changed, and will change profoundly as a result. It’s a little like watching the Titanic sail on with the passengers and crew in denial that such a ship could ever sink.  I guess we’ll find out soon enough that there are no lifeboats to get out of this one either.

As to Glenn Stephens supposed recovery. Someone, tell him he’s dreamin.

Here are a couple of vids if you are interested in this stuff.

Masters of our own destiny

with 3 comments

If you’re a regular reader of articles on this blog you’ll be aware that it’s my firm belief that the unfolding economic crisis of our day is something far more significant than a recession and more significant than the depression of the 1930s.

I believe that it is in fact, the end of the world as we know it. Not the end of the world just yet, but as the crisis unfolds it will continue to propel the world toward a new global order. An order which will ultimately have tragic consequences for humanity.

Many might think that this economic collapse is the judgement of God on our unrighteousness. In a sense this is true, yet I see it a little like Jeremiah saw it in his day. That the Lord is simply allowing men to be the masters of their own destiny. The economies of the western nations are failing not because God has judged them, but because men have done that which seemed right in their own eyes. It is the natural desire of men, their greed, selfishness, idolatry, covetousness and refusal to heed the word of the Lord that has brought the worlds economies to this point.

The way I see it, God has simply handed us over. He is no longer able to correct, as we have refused to heed His correction.  He refuses to uphold any longer, as we refuse to uphold Him.  Therefore as Jeremiah proclaimed to the Jewish people 2600 years ago “your own wickedness will correct you”. In this prophecy we can see a dual fulfillment being presented to Western Christendom.

Jer 2:19 Your own wickedness will correct you, And your backslidings will rebuke you. Know therefore and see that [it is] an evil and bitter [thing] That you have forsaken the LORD your God, And the fear of Me [is] not in you,” Says the Lord GOD of hosts.

Our Christian nations would have done well to teach fear of the Lord in this context, that should you desire to be the master of your own destiny, should you forsake the Lord your God, He will grant you the desires of your own carnal heart. He will allow you to pursue your own plans and no good thing shall come of it. For the natural desire of men is according to their nature and can never be anything but wickedness. God simply takes His hand off and we are apt to stumble as a result of following our own ways.

Is this not exactly what has happened to our western prosperity, which is now being revealed as a house of cards, a system that has no real foundation, nothing to uphold it.

In this same way, in the book of Romans Paul tells us that that God will hand men over to fulfill the lusts of their flesh, their unnatural desires, because they refuse to acknowledge Him and give Him thanks and glory. Romans 1:24, 1:26. God does not cause them to sin, He simply no longer restrains them from fulfilling their lusts.

You see Christian it is God who restrains, God who upholds, God who constrains men from following after their carnal fleshly desires. When God has closed His ears and turned His back toward us in indignation at our refusal to live according to His leading and heed His direction, the outcome will always be tragic. We shall be the masters of our own destiny, and our own wickedness and backslidings will lead us down perilous paths.

This is how I can know, how you can know Christian and be assured that we are now on a path that will lead to the most testing and tragic days that the earth has ever witnessed. Why? because Western Christendom has taken upon itself to be the master of it’s own destiny. And sadly doing this having heard the gospel, the grace of our Lord, and having for the most part, wholeheartedly rejected Him and His ways.

This is not going to be pleasant!

Gordon Brown’s Saviour – and it’s not Jesus

without comments

Looks like 2009 will be the year that this globalization thing really gets a role on. At this time, much of the world is looking for a Saviour. Sadly, the only saviour they’ll be offered by Gordon Brown and his cohorts is “Globalization”,  or in Gordons words “a new world order” – FTW

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has called for a new Bretton Woods system, saying that the financial crisis should be used to make world leaders agree to fresh rules and regulations under a long planned new global financial order.

“Sometimes it takes a crisis for people to agree that what is obvious and should have been done years ago, can no longer be postponed,” Brown told an audience earlier today.

Speaking at Thomson Reuters’ editorial headquarters, Brown called for “a new financial architecture for the global age”, stating that the Bretton Woods system devised after the second world war was out of touch with the new world order.

Brown said: “This crisis demonstrates beyond doubt that a global capital market requires much stronger global cooperation and supervision. And we need to ensure that we have an effective global early warning system to alert us across continents to economic and financial risk.”

Brown contended that the current financial system is “too clouded with opacity, conflicts of interest, irresponsible risk-taking, and when problems occur countries have tended to look inwards and deal with them in isolation when it is clear they should look outwards and join in international co-operation.”

“We are proposing a world leaders’ meeting in which we must agree the principles and policies for restructuring the financial system across the globe,” Brown added.

His speech came after the UK government announced it would bail out three high street banks – RBS, HBOS and Lloyds TSB – to the tune of £37bn. Since that announcement, shares in the banks have plunged on the stock market.

Brown’s call echoes that of elite figures such as CFR member Jeffrey Garten and Timothy Geithner, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, who have both recently called for a “new global monetary authority”, a de-facto global financial dictatorship, operating across borders and forcing nations and corporations to register and adhere to strict monitoring and regulations.

The call is also similar to plans recently touted for a new centralized system of financial supervision across the EU providing greater regulatory powers.

Global, Global, Global.

with 2 comments

Something has changed in my little world, our little world of late. Perhaps not significant enough for many to notice, but I can’t help seeing it. It’s not in your face obvious, but never the less, a subtle and significant change.

It’s a change of language, a change of context, it’s a foundational change and preparing the way, so to speak.

No longer do we talk of a  recession for Australia alone, but it’s a global recession. No longer do we talk in terms of the number of unemployed in a national sense alone, but now the media reflect the data from a global perspective.

How many times just this week have I heard it, we expect a decline in global employment of some 50 million in 2009.  Article link

The financial crisis is no longer a financial crisis which effects Australia alone, now it’s a Global financial crisis.

It’s no longer climate change which will effect our nation but, Global warming, and the cost of reducing green house emissions is reflected in a global economic cost.

We talk about global trade, global growth forecasts, global markets, global jobs crisis, global carbon trading scheme, global trends, global economic data, and so the list goes on. Perhaps you can think of a few more.

New world order, it’s pretty much here. We’ve got the language in place, we’ve got the people of one mind, we just need to follow up with a few further changes to complete the picture.

People get ready, there’s a train comin, don’t need no ticket, to get onboard!

Warming to “the mark”

with 9 comments

In the news this week I saw the following story “tracker for kids in lost shops”.  It seems like an obvious answer to assist in alleviating the fears of parents who become separated from their children, just strap on an electronic tracker.

Considering the Westfield Corporation is now building 17 Hectare shopping centres, I guess some parents have cause to be concerned at locating a lost child in so large a shopping centre.

Interesting how technology is gradually adopted into a society, just a step at a time, we welcome it in with open arms. Offered to us by large corporations, playing on the fears of individuals, and justifiably so, one may well argue. But ultimately a generation will exist that sees no resistance to adopting personal locating devices and tracking systems. In fact it will be the norm.

These things are all wonderful at this time. The countless security cameras around the UK, estimated to be around 4.2 million, great! The electronic ID devices in passports, great! The fingerprint systems in public schools, great! It’s all just great whilst ever we live in a culture where personal freedoms are generally respected.

Imagine if Germany in the 1930s had been graced with the technology we have today. No Jew, not one, would have escaped the clutches of the evil empire. There would have been no place to hide.

Rev 13:16       And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
Rev 13:17       And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Rev 13:18       Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six.

What can we expect in 2009?

with 2 comments

How often I wish I could say “thus sayeth the Lord” or that I could prophecy of coming upheavals with a certain sense of God ordained authority.

I wish I could tell you I had a dream about something or I saw a vision in my mind’s eye relating to a time of trouble for 2009, but alas, at least for me, it’s not to be.

As an avid student of “end time” theology, my thinking often tends to be apocalyptic. I see all things through a pair of glasses clearly coloured with the words “a time of trouble, not seen since the foundation of the world” Daniel 12:1, Matthew 24:21. Constantly looking for signs of the times, signs of Christ’s return. If you are into accumulating worldly possessions, it’s not a position I would recommend. Every time I think of buying something that might be considered a luxury, I hear the words “it’s all going to burn” 2 Pet 3:12. My earthly comfort is diminished, though I do delight in my wife and children and the opportunity to serve God in this generation.

So that said, what do I discern for 2009.

The world has embarked upon a journey toward a “new world order”. Since 911 this journey has gathered momentum, being driven by an unholy trinity of fears. Fear of terrorism and war, fear of global warming and climate change, fear of financial upheaval and economic apocalypse. This threefold trinity of fears will continue to drive the present generation toward a “New world order”, there is and can be no doubt about it, we are well down that road already.

In 2009 the most significant driver for this new world order will come as a result of the financial upheaval. 2009 will see the West sink into something far more significant than a recession. The prevailing madness that ensues will ensure that the appropriate “one world order” changes are instigated. There will no doubt be a currency crisis. I expect, along with many others, to see the present financial system, in which the world buys and sells in US dollars, come to an end. A new global financial system that suits the major players will follow. A system which will ultimately insure that you can neither buy nor sell without the appropriate government endorsed currency, the mark.

Also from within this unholy trinity of fears I expect to see the fear of terrorism and war will drive the world toward a global peace plan. What this means for Israel I am not sure, however I imagine that she will come under intense pressure from the world, as if all the nations are gathered against her. Many in the world already see Israel as the stumbling block toward world peace, and this a key issue which must be resolved if the world is to have peace. If only they knew!

Fear of terrorism will drive the continued encroachment of Gov’t and big business into our lives. The advance of a big brother with the promise that he will keep us secure and remove the threat of disorder, will continue. However you should expect the very opposite. With the present economic upheaval and the prevailing civil unrest we will see the policy of big brother justified and strengthened. Expect issues pertaining to personal identification to advance rapidly, expect loss of freedom, expect loss of privacy.

Finally, the third unholy fear, of global warming and climate change, will continue to unite many nations of the world. They will come together in like mind with a global plan and vision, to bring peace and security and a prosperous world to fruition. Though the vision is admirable, it is nothing more than a satanically inspired fear that assists in driving this new world order. Expect the results of whatever the new world order agrees to in this regard, to be burdensome to the peoples. Expect this “green religion” to prosper.

What can we expect in 2009? A continuation of all of these things, with increased momentum.

When men no longer trust God, when He is no longer seen as the all sufficient provider, men must trust in themselves, and as you can see, fear then becomes a motivation which drives the direction of humanity. Fear, along with mans own desire to create heaven on earth, are the driving forces which will bring about the fulfillment of biblical prophecy concerning the “beast” world power of the Book of revelation.

What can we expect in 2009 Christian?

These are days in which I am often saddened and at other times overjoyed. On one hand I see that men ought to hope in God, to place their trust in God, but do not. On the other hand  I see the day of our redemption drawing near. I too am able to be persuaded as to the uncertainty of the times, to be shaken and fearful, however, if there is something for us to learn, perhaps it is this. That the Lord God allmighty is allowing all of these things to come to pass, that scripture might be fulfilled, that the mystery of iniquity may reach it’s fulfillment, and that we Christians might continue to trust and be assured that He is bringing everything to completion in Christ. We must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

In 2009, I expect that we will learn to trust God a little more, and though the world around us is shaken, our hope will be more securely established in Him. What else can we do, where else can we go, for you oh Lord have the words of life.

Here is a short clip of a recent speech made by Gordon Brown concerning the New World Order.

“Peace and Safety” The catchcry of the New World Order

with 4 comments

2000 years ago, the apostle Paul had something very interesting to say to the church about recognizing the times and seasons that will precede the “Day of the Lord”. But before we get there, let me lay a brief foundation.

How quickly times change, go back just 17 years to September 11, 1991. George Bush Senior announces the promise of a New World Order, led by the UN, to usher in an age of hope. Drawing upon these following words of George Bush Snr, we can see the promise of this new world order :

A New world order, where diverse nations are drawn together in common cause to achieve the universal aspirations of mankind, Peace and Security, freedom, and the rule of law”

(see full video below)

Indeed who could resist such aspirations, who could resist a world where “Peace and Security” are the order of the day. What man, woman or child could refuse such a plan. It’s a little like heaven really, and we can have it now, better still, we can achieve it in our own strength by working together in common cause.

It’s taken some 18 years, but today, and with increasing intensity, the New World Order agenda is gaining momentum and widespread acceptance.

In a world which is increasingly troubled by the threats and fears of global warming, of water shortages, famines pestilences and droughts, oil shortages, terrorism, nuclear war, a worldwide economic depression, we see the vision, the hope, the catchcry of a “New World Order” gaining acceptance and momentum in working to resolve these issues. Never before has such an opportunity been granted to this world to run with the vision and hope of the New World Order promise, “Peace and Security”.

The list of ever increasing threats to this world over the past 20 years have prepared a platform to which this movement has and will gain much welcomed acceptance.

This week in Washington, leaders of many of the worlds nations gathered together to discuss the Economic conditions presently plaguing the world economy. The G20 Group is an economic forum of 20 of the worlds largest economies, 19 nations + the European Union. Together they sought to come together, of one mind, to resolve or respond to the present turmoil plaguing the world economy.

The leaders of the worlds nations are ready and willing to embrace this move , men like British P.M. Gordon Brown, men like French President Sarkozy, Aussie P.M. Kevin Rudd, and I suspect new world leader, Barack Obama, and so many others, drawn together in common cause, of one mind, and who could resist the promise.

Who could refuse especially in this day in which seemingly, so many perils are at our door, who in their right mind would not desire to respond to the catchry of the New World Order, “Peace and Safety”

But I lament and even now am sorrowful for the trouble which shall shortly come upon us. I am somewhat troubled that my children have been born into this generation, for men have done according to that which is written in their heart, to instinctively seek to establish an order on the earth which imitates heaven “Peace and Security” but they have done it in the hope that God will not be found amongst them. Yes just like the words of a famous songwriter “They say they want the kingdom, but they don’t want God in it”

Men have sought to establish heaven on earth through this New World Order, a new “Babel”and it comes with a bonus, God is not to be found in it. Woe to you Oh man, for the Lord declares, as in ages past Psalm 33:10 The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect.

Who would have believed that some 2000 years ago, the Apostle Paul could have known the nature of the world in our day. Somewhat frighteningly so, Paul declares a clear sign that pre-empts the “Day of the Lord” when he pens the following words to the church of Thessalonica.

1 Thessalonians 5:3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.

Make no mistake about it, we are in that generation. The generation of the catchcry of a “New Word Order”, Peace and Security. Not my words, but the words of the founders of the new world order movement, and the Apostle Paul.

I am convinced, as many are, that we are at the precipice of something quite unique in human history. All of those things which we in the west have come to place are hope and trust in shall be shaken. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision!

Christian, are you prepared? Have you fled Babylon? Have you “come out of her”? Let the cry go out “The groom is returning”. Let us sleep no longer but awaken to the hope of eternal peace and safety in an everlasting kingdom, where we shall dwell with God, forever.

In the days ahead there will be trials to endure, in Christ’s own words, a time of trouble not seen since the beginning of the world. Therefore what better trust shall we have than to find guidance in the words of the Saviour.

“But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 23:36

1 Thessalonians 5:1-6 But concerning the times and seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you, for you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night, for when they say “Peace and Safety” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labour pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you brethren, are not in darkness that this day should overtake you as a thief. You are sons of the light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness, therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.
