About the Author and about this weblog
I have unashamedly prepared this website specifically for those people in our western culture today that would name themselves by the name of the Christ, and place their belief in His salvation.
As a Western Christian myself, I am convinced that we are entrenched in a mainstream Christian culture that is very much “lukewarm”, and as others have said before me “asleep in the light” This state could well be compared to the state of the foolish virgins in Christs’ parable, who believing they were safe, took their ease, rested, only to realise when it was too late that the door to the wedding celebration was closed to them.
Preparing this website entails some concerns on the part of the author. I have myself warned believers at times to take care what they read and listen to. The great abundance of audio, written material and literature available to the average western Christian today carries with it a concern, for as Christ said “ a little leaven, leavens the whole lump” and again “beware the leaven of the pharicees”
It is this authors view that there is much leaven in our Christian teaching today. Most of it eminating from the popular biblical teachers in the United States.
I would ask anyone who reads or listens to the material on this site to prayerfully consider it’s content. Ask the Holy Spirit to confirm and direct your understanding and your ways. This perhaps offers the author some form of escape, should I stand before the Lord on that day and have been found in error.
This information comes to you with what some may say is an overly critical viewpoint, perhaps this is true, but I assure you that I have done my best to offer it in the Spirit of Grace and without condemnation.
I do believe with all of my heart that what I share has been laid upon me by the Spirit of God, with the intent that it is His desire to see His people walking in the fullness of their calling and not in ignorance. Especially in this day in which we live, for as the writer of Timothy said of the latter days, “Perilous times will come”
Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His Glory, with exceeding joy, To God our saviour, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen. Jude 24,25.
Thank you for taking the time to write what God has placed on your heart. I have to say that I agree with everything you have written here. The state of the lukewarm church and the greedy self centered materialistic society in which we live has really become apparent to me in recent months. Even more troubling is coming to the realization that I have allowed myself and my family to become enslaved to it. I am thankful that the Lord is opening my eyes to what is really going on around me and in my own life. The question then becomes, how does one break free? From listening to one of your You Tube videos it sounds as if you had a similar turning point in your life. Please pray for me and my family.
Your friend in Christ,
J.D.

REPLY FROM Fleethewrath. Thanks JD. Hope I’ve been able to bless you. Indeed this is the question, How does one break free?
In the same way Bunyan wrote about his character Christian in the novel Pilgrims progress, for us it is also a life journey.
I am confident that if we are willing to embrace His word in our life, and I mean all of it, not just the nice bits, but the costly bits also, He is able to lead us.
In Christ,
FTW
I agree with this post. It has been inspired by the Holy Spirit as it is Biblical.
You have only scratched a tip of a HUGE discovery. I encourage you to continue learning and allowing Yahweh to lead you to truth. Here is a little advice: the more you accept the more you are given. Blessings…
Tim,
I just wanted to send a hello your way. You, Tim (flee the wrath), Steve (Prodigal Knot), Gene (what is he up to?), and John have all been on my mind…I have been reminiscing – being reminded of the blessing you all have been in my life – thankful for all of you…even though we do not stay in touch – my thoughts of all of you are many and blessed. I hope all is well!
I continue to be blessed with your writing’s Tim – thanks!
Sherry
Hi Sherry,
Nice to hear from an old blogging acquaintance. I do think about Geno from time to time as we used to have some great discussions. I think he basically came to the point of realizing that all of this talking about following Christ wasn’t in and of itself “following Christ” If you get my gist. Nice to see that he forsook us, and I trust that he did this very thing so that he could follow the Lord. If that’s the case then he gets a hearty amen from me.
I am well thanks, and I hope you are also.
Thanks for the feedback, I’ve cut back my blogging due to a change in season but hope to get back into it again soon.
Love in Christ,
Tim
HI and God bless u all.

Hello! Thought you might find this video of interest:

Really refreshing website. I really like your attitude….its not something you typically run into among Christians.
Out of curiosity – what kind of church do you go to? I am having trouble finding a church I feel represents truth. I’m wondering if you have.
Austin,
I think of the U2 song ” I still havent found what I’m looking for”
I do attend a maninstream church, non denominational, but to be honest it is with a sense of patient endurance and long suffering.
Church was good when I was a babe in Christ and required milk.
As I have written in quite a few of my earlier posts, I often sensed a leading from the Word that would not be confirmed at the pulpit. The call to forsake, lay aside, deny self, pick up your cross, lose your life for Christ, give away your posessions and I could go on for some time with a list of Christ’s requirements for those who would follow Him.
I am not one who at this present time would make a case that all churches are apostate, but if one is zealous for truth, and has trouble swallowing worldliness diguised as the gospel, you will have difficulty finding a fellowship.
Having said all of that we also need to be mindful that knowledge puffs up, but love edifies. These are difficlut days, perilous times, as Paul wrote.
I’m not sure that I can offer you alot of wisdom on this issue and the dilemma facing many at this time.
Seek the Lord and ask Him to make the way straight before you…Perhaps small home fellowships may offer a place of safety at this time….
Tim.
