The ramblings of one seeking to flee “Mystery Babylon”

The Hypocrisy of Babylon

with 2 comments

From the land of the great and the free comes the following article. Yes, in keeping with the spirit of Babylon, you can legally kill unborn children, make and export pornography, rip off fellow countrymen or other peoples to the tune of billions and license them with weapons that can kill. But try to get a number plate with the words “I Believe” printed on it, and you will invoke the wrath of authorities.

  1. Hi Tim :-D
I read this when it came out.

I also came across this article today on WND : http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=115973
which is allowing billboards to have printed on them:

“Don’t believe in God? You are not alone”

Hmm… but hey that’s OK, you are not supporting any Christian belief or making a Christian statement, so say what you like! Then there was the Christian who was arrested for saying grace in public at a College in the US…

I honestly believe that as Christians, the world will try more and more to shut us and our message up, the closer we get to the Lord’s return – the brazenness of how and what they are saying and doing would not ever have taken place a mere few years ago. There is a feeling of darkness closing in on us, but we can rest in this:

    Romans 8:36-40 (English Standard Version)
    36As it is written,

    “For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”

37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

As you rightly said in your title, it is hypocrisy. If they only realised what Jesus did on the cross and how much it cost both our Father and the beloved Son, and out of how much love our Salvation was wrought and that by rejecting it, the eternal response it will one day bring.

There is no belief and therefore no fear of God. In Hebrews 10:31 it tells us that “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” For those who don’t believe in Him, it doesn’t matter to them, because he does not exist and the Bible is just a stuffy old book that wants to cramp your style, whatever that may be.

There but for the grace of God.

    Bless you brother.

  2. Hi Steph, Yeah I agree, but for the grace of God, there go us both.
Living in this world can be so annoyingly frustrating at times. I heard someone say recently that as the day approaches the wicked will draw close to hell and the righteous close to heaven. I just felt that this was so right, the blatant in your face rebellion against righteousness just tends to make it more abhorrent in our eyes and tends to drive us out of this world even more. To want to have nothing of it’s Godless values…….But then again, maybe it has always been like that, it just seems worse in our generation.
    Bless you..
